7kg gold bars worth Tk 5cr seized at Dhaka airport

Customs officials on Friday (January 22) seized over seven kilograms of gold bars and detained a passenger from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.

The detainee is known as a Sarwar Uddin.

On information, the customs officials seized 62 gold bars weighing 7.290kg from him around 11:00am. The passenger came from  Muscat.





The market price of the seized gold bars is around Tk 5 crore. A case was filed with Airport Police Station in this regard.
