Man found slaughtered in Dinajpur
Miscreants slaughtered man and took away his tongue at Parbatipur upazila in Dinajpur district on Thursday.
Deceased Helal Sarker, 55, was a resident of Dargapara village under Polashbari union in the upazila.
It was learnt that Helal went out of the house at early hours for a nearby mosque to perform fajr prayers. But, he did not returned home.
Later, locals spotted the throat-slit body in a jungle at Ershad Nagar area and informed police.
Parbatipur Model Police Station officer in-charge Mokhlesur Rahman said police recovered the body and sent it to a hospital morgue.
He alongwith ASP Mominul Islam visited the scene and the law enforcers are investigating the incident sincerely, he added.
