![]() DSEC polls: President candidate dies before election day Daily Bhorer Kagoj senior sub-editor Hilali Wadud Chowdhury died of cardiac arrest at a Dhaka hospital on Friday morning. Chowdhury, a president candidate of Dhaka Sub Editors' Council (DSEC) election and member of Jatiya Press Club (JPC), was declared dead at Khidmah Hospital in Malibagh around 9:30am. Family members said he felt severe chest pain while leaving home for the press club to attend the annual general meeting of the DSEC. Chowdhury was immediately take to the hospital where he was declared dead. The journalist left behind wife, a daughter and host of relatives to mourn his death. He will be buried at his village home in Domar of Nilphamari district. The death casts a pall of gloom in the journalists community. MUS/LY |
