Missing madrasah student found dead in Jessore

Benapole: A madrasah student was found dead at Jagadishpur in Chowgachha upazila of Jessore district on Tuesday night seven days after his going missing.

The deceased was identified as Maruf Hossain,12, a class VII student at a local Dakhil Madrasah and son of Tota Miah, a resident of Shwarparajpur village.

Locals noticed Maruf’s body lying in the area around 10:30pm and informed police.

Later police recovered the body and sent it to Jessore Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.

Being informed, Maruf’s family members identified the body to be his.

Officer-in-charge of Chowgachha Police Station Masiur Rahman said Maruf had gone missing seven days back.

A case was filed in this connection.
