 Listed criminal, assistant held in Joypurhat Rapid Action Battalion members arrested a listed top criminal and his assistant from Shanti Nagar area of Joypurhat district town early Saturday. The arrestees are Seba Kumar Das, of Sahebpara Mohalla area in the town, and his assistant Rabbi Hasan, 24. Seba Kumar Das is an active member of the criminal group Kandamati. He was an accused in at least 10 cases including of murder, mugging and arms, said RAB-5 Joypurhat camp commander additional superintendent of police MM Mohaimenur Rashid. Mohaimenur Rashid said on information, a team of RAB conducted a drive in the area at early hours and arrested them along with a foreign pistol, five rounds of bullet and a magazine. SIS/ALM |
