 Marriage proposal rejected, Noakhali man hanged himself Deceased Md Kasem, 27, was the son of Daia Mia, a resident of Papua village in the municipality. Family sources said he had been in relation with a girl in the area. Kasem sent his mother to the girl’s family with marriage proposal, but the family refused the proposal. Later on Saturday noon, Kasem hanged himself with a mango tree in an abandoned garden. Confirming the matter, Sonaimuri Police Station officer in-charge (OC) Md Gias Uddin said on information, police recovered the body and sent it to hospital morgue. MRM/ALM |
