Minor girl found dead after 6hrs of missing in Bandarban



The body of a eight-year-old girl was recovered from the Matamuhuri River in Lama upazila of Bandarban, after six hours she went missing.

Deceased Puja Karmaker was the daughter of Bimal Karmaker, a resident of Lamamukh area in the upazila.
 
Family of the victim's girl said Puja went to the river for bathing on Saturday. Suddenly, she drowned at about 1pm.

On information, police and members of Fire Service and Civil Defence rushed to the spot but failed to find out the girl. Later, they informed divers team.





The diver team retrieved the body from under a bridge in the area around 8pm, Md Safayet Hossain, Lama Fire Service and Civil Defence station officer, confirmed.
