 AL candidate Latif Mollah becomes chairman of Madaripur's Shibchar UP In the by-election of Shibchar Upazila Parishad in Madaripur district, Awami League candidate Ahmed Latif Mollah has been elected chairman unofficially getting 1,84,633 votes. His nearest BNP candidate Chowdhury Nadira Akhter with sheaf symbol got 874 votes. The voting was held peacefully at 101 polling stations from 9 am to 5 pm on Tuesday. The male voters in this UP are 1,37,890 while the female are 1,26,605. SS/TF |
