BGB seizes drugs, smuggling products of Tk 75cr in Sept
Drugs and other smuggling products worth about Tk 75 crore were recovered by Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in the month September.
BGB Public Relation Officer Md Shariful Islam confirmed the matter on Thursday.
The seized drugs include 16,82,574 Yaba pills, 42,00,044 bottles of Phensedyl syrup, 12, 136 bottles of foreign liquor, 261 cans of beer, 1,199 kgs of hemp, 148 grams of heroin, 5,914 sex stimulating injections, 15,341 Sanagra tablets and 47,766 other tablets.
Other recovered smuggled items include 3.21 kg gold, 26.36 kg silver, 166 pieces of imitation jewellery and other items.
Meanwhile, 14 pistols, a revolver, 16 guns, a air gun, a shotgun, an LG, 24 magazines, 61 rounds of bullet and 800 grams of gunpowder were recovered by BGB in the last month.
BGB also detained 312 smugglers and 96 Bangladeshis and five Indians for illegally intruding border.
