Bangabandhu’s mural inaugurated in Barishal

A mural of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman has been inaugurated in Barishal city.

Celebrating the 74th birthday of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Barisal City Corporation mayor Serniabat Sadiq Abdullah inaugurated the mural of  Bangabandhu along with his daughter Sheikh Hasina at Bangbandhu Auditorium adjacent to Barishal Shaheed Minar on Monday evening.

The mural is believed to be the country's largest mural of the Bangabandhu.

A doa mahfil and a munjat was offered wishing long life and sound health of Sheikh Hasina.

Among others, the city unit Awami League (AL) president advocate AKM Jahangir Hossain, and the district AL general secretary advocate Talukder Md Younus were present.

Designer of the mural artist Rudra said it was painted with different colored pieces of high quality foreign tiles. He alongwith four associates completed the work by 45 days.

It is the largest mural of the father of the nation in the country said Rudro, adding that such a large mural has never been constructed anywhere else in the country.
