Bangladesh on Monday registered another 2,907 cases and 39 deaths from coronavirus in last 24 hours.

The total fatalities from the virus now stand at 3,438 and confirmed cases at 2,60,507.

During this timeline, 2,067 corona patients made recovery, rising the total number of recovery counts to 1,50,437.

Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general (administration) of Directorate General of Health Services, made the at an online bulletin today afternoon .

In last 24 hours, 12,855 samples were collected while 12,849 were tested in 85 coronavirus testing laboratories across the country.

Till now, 12,73,168 samples were tested and 2,60,507 of them found positive for COVID-19.

The detection rate of COVID-19 cases on Monday is 22.62 per cent and the overall rate of infection is 20.46 per cent.

Meanwhile, the recovery rate, against the total confirmed cases, is 57.75 per cent while the mortality rate is 1.32 per cent in Bangladesh.
