Mountaineer Reshma Nahar Ratna laid to eternal rest

Mountaineer Reshma Nahar Ratna who was killed in a road accident in Dhaka was buried at her village home at Lohagara in Narail district on Saturday.
She was buried at her family graveyard after namaj-e-janaza at about 8:30am.
Ratna was killed when a microbus crashed her at Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban area on Friday morning. Witnesses said she was crushed by the speeding microbus when she was on her bicycle. Her body was taken to her village home at Dhopadaha in Kashipur union under Lohagara upazila on Friday night.
Family sources said Ratna's father Sheikh Afzal Hossain (81) went on retirement as an honorary captain of Bangladesh Army in 1989. He was awarded 'Bir Bikram' title for his outstanding contributions to the War of Liberation in 1971.
Ratna's mother Rabeya Begum died of heart attack in 2013. She was the youngest among her three brothers and four sisters. Ratna was a teacher at Ayub Ali Govt Primary School at New Market area in Dhaka and lived in Mirpur.
