Physician found dead in Savar

The hanging body of a physician has been recovered from Savar, on the outskirts of Dhaka.

Deceased Samuel Falia, 30, was the assistant registrar of Oncology Department at Enam Medical College Hospital. He was the son of Badal Falia, a resident of Missionpara village in Chandpur district.

Being informed by locals, police recovered the body of Samuel from the bedroom of his rented house in Dariarpur area at early hours on Thursday and sent to a hospital morgue, said Savar Model Police Station sub-inspector Naziur Rahman.

A suicide note was found in his bedroom and police assumed that he might have committed suicide over family feud.

Meanwhile, the police station officer in-charge AFM Sayed said the reason behind the death will be known once the autopsy is done.
