2 held with Yaba tablets in Joypurhat

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained two people along with Phensedyl syrup at Sadar upazila in Joypurhat district on Sunday evening.

Detained persons are Babul Kera, 45, and Najma Begum, residents of Rupnarayanpur village in nighbouring Dhamoirhat upazila of the district. 

On information, a RAB team conducted a drive in Bus Terminal area in the district town and detained them. The elite force members also recovered 148 bottles of Phensedyl syrup from their possessions. 

Confirming the matter, RAB-5 camp commander ASP MM Mohaimenur Rashid said the RAB, later, handed over them to Joypurhat Sadar Police Station after filing a case under the Narcotics Control Act.
