Banned Piranha fish seized in Barguna

Borguan’s Talatali Upazila Sanitary and Safe Food Inspector seized 10 kgs contraband Piranha fish from Koroi Bazar on Wednesday morning.

Local sources said some traders had been selling the banned fish as Rupchanda to the people.

The inspector Rafiqul Islam said 10 kg banned Piranha fish was seized from the Bazar around 10 am.

Upazila Parishad female vice chairman Monica Nazneen, president of the local business association Md Shafiqul Islam and Anasar member Md Abdul Quddus were present at that time.
