Bangladesh COVID-19 death toll stands 2,457, with 33 more deaths

Thirty-three more persons died of COVID-19 in Bangladesh, raising the total number to 2,457 on Wednesday.
At the same time, the virus cases reached 1,93,134 after detecting 3,533 more corona patients.
Additional Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) Prof Dr Nasima Sultana confirmed the matter at its daily health bulletin on Tuesday afternoon.
The Health authorities also reported recovery of 1,796 more corona patients in the past 24 hours, taking the total recovery to 1,05,023.
Of the dead, 27 were male while six were female.
A total of 14,002 samples were tested in 79 labs across the country during this period.
The current death rate is 1.27 per cent and the infection rate is 19.75 per cent.
Dr Nasima requested all to follow protective measures to fight against deadly coronavirus.
