Lazz Pharma fined Tk 29 lakh for keeping non-approved medicines

A mobile court of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) on Monday fined Lazz Pharma Tk 29 lakh for keeping huge non-approved medicines at its Kakrail branch.

The RAB and the Directorate General of Drug Administration (DGDA) jointly raided Lazz Pharma
on Monday afternoon.

During the drive, 50 varieties of non-approved medicines and injections were seized.

RAB-3 Executive Magistrate  Polash Kumar Basu who conducted the drive around 3:30pm, said the seized non-approved and fake medicines worth Tk 30 lakh.





DGDA  assistant director  M Iqbal Hossain said, "It is a big offence. We'll fine them as well put them behind the bars."
