'Digital cattle haat' opens at govt initiative

A 'Digital Haat' has been opened at the government initiative for selling and buying sacrificial animals.

Animal traders can register in the virtual market at free of cost to sell their animals, said a press release issued by the ICT Division on Tuesday.

"Considering the health and safety of the farmers and buyers, the ICT Division has arranged a digital haat for selling and purchasing of sacrificial animals. It will be the country's largest digital haat for sacrificial animals at the government initiative," said the release.

"Customers from home can get the opportunity to  see the animals' still pictures or video and know about their weights. At the same time, they can contact the cattle owners, farm owners and traders directly. Then, they can collect the animals from any certain place or through home delivery," it added.

Informing that registration process has began, the release said owners of animals, farms and traders can get register on the website at free of cost.
