Five ministries get new secretaries

In a latest reshuffle in the administration, five top government officials have been transferred and given new postings.
The Public Administration Ministry issued three notifications on Monday in this regard.
At the same time, a secretary has been promoted to the post of senior secretary.
The ministries are: Cultural Affairs Ministry, Defence Ministry, Liberation war Affairs Ministry, Technical and Madrasah Education Division and Bangladesh Tariff Commission.
As per the notifications, Primary and Mass Education Secretary M Akram Al Hossain has been promoted to the post of Senior Secretary.
Cultural Affairs Secretary Dr Abu Hena Mostafa Kamal has been transferred to the Defence Ministry while Technical and Madrasah Education Division Secretary Munshi Shahabuddin has been made Chairman of the Tariff Commission.
Meanwhile, Liberation War Affairs Secretary M Aminul Islam Khan has been transferred to Technical and Madrasah Education Division and Tariff Commission Chairman Tapan Kanti Ghosh moved to the Liberation war Affairs Ministry.
Food Planning and Monitoring Unit (FPMU) Director General M Badrul Arefin has been promoted to the post of Secretary and transferred to the Cultural Affairs Ministry.
