700 students in Panchagarh get bicycles

700 students in Panchagarh get bicycles

A total of 700 students in Panchagarh have received bicycles which is likely to ease their transportation problems.

The students living in remote areas from their schools received the bicycles under Local Governance Support Project (LGSP-3) to celebrate the Mujib Year. 

Railways Minister Advocate Md Nurul Islam Sujon distributed the bicycles among 700 students from Boda and Debiganj upazilas at a function on Saturday.

The minister in his speech said the government has taken various initiatives to improve education system of the country.

“Special assistance for female students will boost their education and this programme is just an initiative of this part,” he said.
Directorate General of Food Sarwar Mahmud, deputy commissioner Sabina Yasmin, superintendent of police 

Mohammad Yusuf Ali and Zila Parishad chairman Anwar Sadat Samrat, among others, were present on the occasion.
