Restriction on movement as 21-day lockdown begins in Wari

Twenty-one days' lockdown began in Wari, marked as a novel coronavirus red zone, on Saturday morning. 

The entrance of different roads in the area of old Dhaka are locked through barricades and restricted people's movement in the area.

Banners with lockdown signs were put on the entrances. 

Only two entrances have been left open where security forces have set up camps. No-one is allowed to leave the areas without emergency reasons.

The lockdown began from 6am which will continue until July 25.

Locals in the area will have to stay at home for long 21 days.

Tipu Sultan Road, Jahangir Road, the Dhaka-Sylhet Highway portion from Baldha Garden to Joy Kali Temple, Larmini Road, Hare Road, War Road, Rankin Road and Nawab Road under ward 41 of Dhaka South City Corporation went into the lockdown
