Islami Bank's Birampur branch put under lockdown

Birampur branch of Islami Bank in Dinajpur district has been put on lockdown as 11 of its employees tested positive for coronavirus.

However, the ATM booth of the bank will remain open as usual.

Upazila nirbahi officer Parimal Kumar Sarker and upazila health and family planning officer Solaiman Hossain Mehedi on Thursday put the branch under lockdown for 14 days.

The bank manager Md Mosharraf Hossain said three bank employees were tested positive for the virus on June 16.

Eleven employees of the bank tested positive for coronavirus on Wednesday night, said the UNO.

A total of 82 people found positive for the virus in the upazila. Of the infected, 33 recovered from the disease after receiving treatment.
