Man dies of electrocution in Joypurhat

A man died of electrocution at Khetlal upazila of Joypurhat district on Thursday afternoon.

Obaidul Islam, 38, son of Asir Uddin Sarder, a resident in the upazila, was a grocery shop trader. Police said Obaidul came in contact with a live electric wire while repairing a digital weighing machine at his shop in the afternoon, which left  him critically injured.

He was taken to Khetlal Upazila Health Complex where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
