Coronavirus infected Ganashasthya Kendra's founder Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury will go through kidney dialysis every day.
Specialist physicians who have been looking into his treatment have taken the decision on Saturday night taking his overall physical condition into account.
Mohammad Farhad, public relations officer of Ganashasthya Kendra, confirmed it at about 9:30pm on Saturday.
It was learnt that extra fluid was built up in Dr Zafrullah's body. He was facing difficulties in taking breathing. In such a situation physicians decided to conduct his kidney dialysis every day.
At about 9:40pm on Saturday, Ganashasthya Kendra's chief executive officer Dr Manzur Qadir said Dr Zafrullah's physical condition was improved somewhat though he was not out of danger yet.
However, his kidney dialysis was conducted on Friday night and he was also given plasma therapy. His kidney dialysis was conducted again on Saturday. He was being given oxygen therapy for normal breathing. Though he used to go through kidney dialysis thrice a week earlier, doctors have now decided to conduct his dialysis every day.
Dr Manzur Qadir further said that Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury has been undergoing treatment under the constant supervision of kidney specialists Brigadier General Dr Mamun Mustafi and Professor Dr Najib at his own Ganashasthya Nagar Hospital at Dhanmondi in the capital.
