Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain was admitted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka with respiratory problems. He is now in good health.
The Chief Justice was admitted to the CMH with an old asthma problem, said a press release issued by the Supreme Court on Wednesday night.
The press release sent by the Supreme Court's special officer and spokesman Saifur Rahman said the doctors examined him and found that his sodium levels were somewhat lower than usual.
For this reason, he was shifted to a hospital cabin and kept under observation and on rest.
The Chief Justice has signed minimum 100 files staying at the cabin over the last two days.
Meanwhile, Law Minister Anisul Huq told the Daily Observer on Wednesday night that the Chief Justice was admitted to the CMH in Dhaka as he was experiencing some breathing problems due to his asthma problem. "The Chief Justice is now in good health. His coronavirus test report also came negative. Hopefully, he will return home after full recovery by Thursday or Friday," he said.
