Red Crescent donates PPE to 4 Covid-19 hospitals

Bangladesh Red Crescent Society (BDRCS) jointly with the Swiss Red Cross Bangladesh Country Office and in support with the Novartis Bangladesh office on Wednesday handed over some 28,000 sets of Personal Protective Equipments (PPE) to four COVID-19 dedicated hospitals in the capital.
The BDRCS, jointly with the government, is working to reduce the spread of the COVID-19 in the country, said a press release.
The release said the four hospitals-Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College Hospital, Kuwait Bangladesh Friendship Government Hospital, Dhaka Medical College Hospital and Kurmitola General Hospital-received PPE worth Taka 2.27 crore .
BDRCS Vice Chairman and IFRC Governing Board member Dr Habibe Millat, MP, was present at the PPE handover ceremony as the chief guest.    -UNB
