'Mastermind' killed in drone attack
Libyan militia leader Khaled Al-Mishai, the alleged mastermind of killing 30 migrants including 26 Bangladeshis, was reportedly killed in a drone attack.
He was killed in the drone attack near Gharyan city, 80 kilometer south of Libyan capital Tripoli on Tuesday, according to news published in Libyan media.c
The media reports said Mishai was the follower of General Khalifa Haftar, a controversial anti-Islamist who controls a part of the country.
Thirty migrants including 26 Bangladeshis were shot dead by family members of a local human trafficker in Libyan town of Mizda in a revenge attack. The rest four were African nationals.
At the same time, 11 more Bangladeshis were seriously injured, according to a statement from Libya's internationally recognised Government of National Accord (GNA) said on Thursday.
