One held with Yaba tablets in Cox’s Bazar

Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) detained a man alongwith 9,860 Yaba tablets in Teknaf upazila of Cox’s Bazar on Monday afternoon.

The detainee is identified as Abdul Aziz, 32, a resident of Lombabil Ghonar Para.

On information, a team of the elite force conducted a drive at Kanchar Para and West Maheshkhali Para in Whykong union.

Sensing presence of the team, 3-4 people managed to flee the scene. But, the RAB force detained Aziz with the pills wrapped with a polythene bag.

RAB-15 confirmed the matter in a facebook post at night.

Abdul Aziz has been shifted to Teknaf Model Police Station after filling a case.

A hunt is on to arrest the others.
