Educationist Niloufer Manzur buried at Banani graveyard

Niloufer Manzur, noted educationist and wife of businessman Syed Manzur Elahi, was buried at Banani Graveyard in Dhaka on Tuesday morning.
She was buried at about 11:30am.
At that time, her son Syed Nasim Manzur was present from the family.
Non-profitable humanitarian organisation Al-Markazul Islami, Bangladesh assisted arranging her janaza and burial.
Apex Tannery's executive director MA Mazed confirmed it.
Niloufer Manzur, founder of Sunbeams school, died of coronavirus illness at the age of 74 at the Combined Military Hospital in Dhaka early Tuesday.
It is learnt that the body of Niloufer Manzur was buried at Banani Graveyard in accordance with the health guidelines of the government.
She was the wife of Syed Manzur Elahi, chairman of Apex Group and former adviser to Caretaker Government. Manzur Elahi is also undergoing treatment at home being infected with coronavirus.
Niloufer was the daughter of late Dr Mafiz Ali Chowdhury, a former minister in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's cabinet in 1972.
She established Sunbeams in 1974, elevating the school to one of the best English-medium institutions in Bangladesh. She was also involved with a social marketing company.
