At least 100 houses in Shreepur upazila of Magura have been vandalised during a clash between rival groups on Monday over Eid congregation.
There is also an allegation that 10 people received stab injuries by the rival group while offering Eid prayers.
Police fired 50 rounds gunshot to bring the situation under control.
Some local people said that followers of Shrikol union chairman Motasim Billah Sangram and union Awami League president Amir Mollah locked in an altercation in the morning over Eid congregation.
They also alleged that at one stage, Sangram's men at his directives started attacking the houses of Mollah's supporters.
During the attack, they hacked some 10/12 persons including Osman, Abu Taleb and Fuad while offering Eid prayer.
Confirming the matter, Shreepur police OC Mahbubur Rahman said being informed, police soon rushed to the scene.
"Fifty rounds blank shots were fired to calm down the situation.Seven persons have also been detained from the scene," he said.
