Seven new admitted to RMCH with corona symptoms
RAJSHAHI, Apr 11: Seven new patients have been admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital (RMCH) with COVID-19 symptoms in the last 24 hours on Tuesday.
Of them, four are being treated at the Corona Ward of the Infectious Disease Hospital, and the rest three at the hospital's Monitoring Ward.
Associate Professor of Medicine Department and Convenor of the Coronavirus Physician Coordination Committee Azizul Haque Azad said this at a regular briefing at RMCH on Tuesday.
He said samples of the four patients will be sent for corona test as they have symptoms of the virus.
He also said one out of four admitted patients at Corona Ward is a teenager girl hailing from Charghat Upazila of the district. She has been suffering from fever and cough for the last three days. She is much better now. She is taking treatment at the Isolation Ward of Charghat Health Complex.
But without testing corona, locals are not letting her into the village. That's why, she was sent to RMCH.
Dr Azad said three more were hospitalised with fever, cough and respiratory problems. They are being treated at the hospital's monitoring ward. Those who do not improve their physical condition will be sent to the Corona Ward for testing corona.
Meanwhile, 98 samples have been tested in the last six days till Monday at the Corona Examination Lab set up at RMCH. One of these was detected positive. Virus was not found in the rest 97.
