Man dies with corona symptoms in Noakhali; house on lockdwon

An Italy-returnee has died of cold, fever and breathing complications in Sonaimuri upazila of Noakhali .
Deceased Morshed Alam, 44, was a resident of Pashchim Chandpur village under Sonapur union in the upazila.
However, the house was put under lockdown and red-flagged following the death.
Local sources said Morshed returned from Italy several month ago. He had been suffering from cold, fever and breathing problems for 10 to 12 days.
The family members sent him to Dhaka for treatment. But, he returned home without taking any treatment.
He was admitted to Noakhai General Hospital on Wednesday afternoon after his condition deteriorated.
The hospital assistant director Dr Farid Uddin said the patient was referred to Dhaka as he had severe respiratory problems. Later, he died on way to Dhaka early Thursday.
Confirming the matter, Sonaimuri UNO Tina Pal said the house was put under lockdown.
Meanwhile, Noakhali civil surgeon Dr Mominur Rahman said the body was kept at Kurmitola General Hospital in Dhaka .
His sample was collected and sent to the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) for coronavirus test, he added.
