Chandpur district under complete lockdown

The district administration concerned has declared complete lockdown over Chandpur district to prevent coronavirus infection.
The lockdown will come into effect from Thursday evening.
It was announced through a public notice signed by deputy commissioner Md Mazedur Rahman Khan in the afternoon.
It has been mentioned in the notice that lockdown has been declared on Chandpur district according to the decision of the District Committee for Resistance of Coronavirus Prevention, Control and Resistance. The entry and exist people into and from the district have been declared restricted.
The notice said none would be able to enter the district either through road or riverine routes into the district, or go to other districts from Chandpur district. The same restrictions will remain in effect on the internal movement from one upazila to another upazila inside the district.
Moreover, all kinds of public transports and public gatherings will remain suspended during the lockdown. However, the emergency services like treatment and food supplies will remain purview of the lockdown.
No coronavirus has so been detected in Chandpur district. However, due to the detection of coronavirus infected patients in the neighbouring districts and arrival of people from different districts including Narayanganj, the administration has taken the decision.
