RAB DG Benazir Ahmed made new IGP


Rapid Action Batallion (RAB) Director General Dr Benazir Ahmed has been appointed as the new Inspector General of Police (IGP).

The Home Ministry issued a notification on Wednesday in this regard.

New RAB DG Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun

Benazir will be the 30th IGP of the country. He will replace Jabed Patwary whose  tenure will end on April 13.


Meanwhile, Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun, Additional Inspector General of Criminal Investigation Department (CID), has been made new DG of RAB

The notification said their appointment will come into effect on April 15.
