Dhaka's 52 areas, Narayanganj under lockdown

As many as 52 areas in the Dhaka city and the entire Narayanganj district have been put on complete lockdown by the government due to the detection of freshh coronavirus infected patients.
None will be allowed to enter into or exist from these areas. The Dhaka Metropolitan Police have confirmed it.
On the other hand, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has said the entire Narayanganj district will remain under complete lockdown from today (Wednesday) to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.
The lockdown will remain in place till further announcement. However, emergency services will remain outside the purview of lockdown.
Treatment facilities and food supplies will remain outside the purview of the lockdown.
The local administration, Armed Forces and Law Enforcement agencies in cooperation with the local representatives of people will combinedly enforce the lockdown, the ISPR further said in a press release.
Besides, the local administrations have declared total lockdown in Meherpur, Rajshahi, Patuakhali and Tangail districts. Restrictions have been imposed on entering into and exiting from these districts. Checkposts have been set up at different entry points of these districts. The local administration have taken strict measures to control the movement of all kinds of motor vehicles except those which transport goods.
Alert has been issued following the detection of coronavirus infected patients at several areas in Mohammadpur of the Dhaka city.
One suspected coronavirus patient has been detected at the 3rd floor of House No. 14 and Road No. 5 at Razia Sultana Road in Mohammadpur. Another person died at 8/14 Tajmahal Road and the house concerned was locked down. A house was locked down at 20/19 Tajmahal Road near Krishi Market. A house has been put on lockdown at 20/4 Babar Road. Besides, three cases have been detected at Uttar Mora area in Basila.
In such a situation , the residents of Housing, Shekhertek, Adabar areas have been urged to avaoid Tajmahal Road areas. Instead, they have been requested to go through Shyamoli area. Besides, all have been requested to remain alert.
