Two held with 80 sacks of govt rice

Detective Branch (DB) of police have detained two young men along with 80 sacks of rice provided by the government for distributing among the poor and underprivileged in Jashore’s Shantala area.

The detainees are Rakibul Hasan Shawon and Hasibul Hasan.

DB police OC Mrauf Ahmed said acting on a tip-off, police conducted a drive in the area and detained the duo from a Pepsi office. Police also seized government donated 80 sacks of rice from their possessions, he added.
