Who is this Captain (sacked) Abdul Mazed?

Capt (sacked) Abdul Mazed, one of the fugitive death sentence convicts in Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman murder case, was arrested from Mirpur in the city.
He was arrested at about 11:30pm on Tuesday and then sent to jail through court early Tuesday afternoon.
Capt (sacked) Abdul Mazed is the son of late Ali Mia Chowdhury of village Batamara under Borhanuddin upazila in Bhola district.
Sources said Abdul Mazed's family members now live at the Dhaka Cantonment residential area. He is the father of four daughters and a son.
Arrested Mazed is one of the six fugitives in Bangabandhu murder case. The rest five fugitive killers are Khandaker Abdur Rashid, Shariful Haque Dalim, Noor Chowdhury, Rashed Chowdhury and Risalder Moslem Uddin Khan.
Captain (sacked) Mazed directly joined in the killing of Bangabandhu and his family members at Bangabandhu's residence at Road 32 in Dhanmondi on August 15, 1975 along with other convicts. Following the killing, he worked at radio station along with the convict Major Shahriar and other army personnel.
He went to Libya via Bangkok from Dhaka at the directive of the then army chief General Ziaur Rahman along with other army officers who took part in the Bangabandhu murder. He stayed there for long three months with the officers committed the coup. At that time, the then army chief Ziaur Rahman gave foreign postings to the murderer officers under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Capt (sacked) Mazed was posted at the Bangladesh embassy in Senegal.
On March 26, 1980, the then Ziaur Rahman government gave Mazed a job in BIWTC. He was given a post equivalent to deputy secretary. In order to join that post, he went on retirement from the army. Later, he was promoted to the post of Secretary.
Later, Mazed applied for the post of Director, Youth Development at the Ministry of Youth Development, and joined that post. From there, he was transferred as teh Director of National Savings Department.
Besides, Capt (sacked) Mazed joined in the killing of four national leaders at Dhaka Central Jail on November 3, 1975. He was given life imprisonment in the Jail Killing Case.
Mazed went into hiding when the Awami League government led by Sheikh Hasina came to power in 1996 and started the trial process of Bangabandhu murder.
It is learnt that Mazed had been in hiding in Kolkata for long 23 years.
He came to Dhaka on March 16 last. Later, he was arrested from Mirpur area on Monday night.
The Counter Terrorism and Transnational Crime (CTTC) of police produced arrested Mazed before the CMM court at about 12:45pm on Tuesday.
Producing him before the CMM court, the CTTC pleaded to keep Mazed in jail until he was shown arrested in Bangabandhu murder case.
"Arrested Capt (sacked) Abdul Mazed is a convicted killer in Bangabandhu murder case. He was absconding for long. We appeal to the court to keep the convict in jail until he was shown arrested in the case," said the CTTC in its appeal to the court.
After the hearing, the court ordered to send Mazed to the high-security Dhaka Central Jail in Keraniganj.
