Youth at isolation unit following grandmother's death

A 22-year-old youth was admitted at the isolation unit of Khulna Medical College Hospital (KMCH) after his grandmother died with corona symptoms on Tuesday morning.

Saleha Begum, 62, wife of Ismail Hossain, a resident of Debipur village of Rupsha upazila, returned from Dhaka alongwith her grandson with cough, fever and cold 12 days ago.

She died at her home around 6am, said Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr Anisur Rahman.

Rupsha UNO Nasrin Akter said the grandson of the woman has been sent to isolation centre while their house put on lockdown.

Civil Surgeon Dr Sujat Ahmed said the sample will be collected and to be tested at PCR Lab of KMCH. The lockdown will be effected till further notice.
