Coronavirus: N'ganj Mayor wants curfew in city

Narayanganj Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy has sought the Prime Minister's order to impose curfew in the city to take control over coronavirus situation.
Otherwise, the situation may go out of control, she expressed apprehension in a press release issued on Sunday.
The release, signed by Narayanganj City Corporation chief executive officer Abul Amin, said the request was made for saving people's life following increase of coronavirus cases in the densely populated city.
"Coronavirus has spread worldwide in a pandemic form. It has also broke out in Narayanganj city. A number of areas were locked down following coronavirus related death."
"Many industries and the EPZ are located in city corporation area and is under the threat of coronavirus spread. Considering the situation, Mayor Selina Hayat Ivy requested the Prime Minister and all concerned to put the city corporation are under lockdown or impose curfew," said the release.
