Doctors among 18 quarantined in ctg

Three doctors and 15 medical staff of a private hospital in Chattogram have been asked to home quarantine as they treated a coronavirus patient in the hospital.
Confirming the matter, Chattogram Civil Surgeon Sheikh Fazle Rabbi Mia said they have been home-quarantined since Friday evening.
Sample of the patient, 67, a resident of Damapara area of Chattogram city, was tested at the Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases (BITID) in Chattogram's Faujdarhat on Friday.
He was found positive for the virus, which was the first COVID-19 patient in the port city.
Six nearby buildings were put under lockdown following the matter.
Civil surgeon Fazle Rabbi said the man's daughter, her husband and mother-in-law came to his residence from Saudi Arabia on March 12.
The three returnees have been completed 14-day home quarantine period and no coronavirus symptom has been seen in their bodies.
So, how the man infected with the virus could not be known yet, he added.
The patient is now undergoing treatment at Chattogram General Hospital.
