Bangladesh confirms 2 new deaths; total infected 70


Bangladesh reported two new deaths from COVID-19, taking the toll to eight. 

The number of cases rose to 70 in the country as nine more persons including two children infected with the virus.

Some 434 samples have been tested in last 24 hours where nine were found infected with deadly coronavirus. 

A total of 30 patients recovered and returned home.





Directorate General of Health Services confirmed the matter in Saturday's briefing where its director general Professor Dr Abul Kalam Azad and the director of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR) Prof Meerjady Sabrina Flora were present.
