325 Japanese citizens leaving Dhaka on Thursday

DHAKA: A total 325 Japanese nationals are leaving Dhaka for Tokyo on Thursday (April 2) morning by a special chartered flight of Biman Bangladesh Airlines.
The Biman aircraft carrying the Japanese citizens will leave Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:00am.
Tahera Khandoker, Chief of Public Relations of Biman Bangladesh Airlines, confirmed it.
On Monday, 269 US citizens left Dhaka by a special flight of the Qatar airways while 225 Malaysians and 139 Bhutanese citizens left here on March 23 by chartered flights on their personal choice amid the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.
The total number of confirmed cases of coronavirus affected persons in the country is now 54, according to the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR).
Bangladesh so far reported six deaths from coronavirus. Currently, 22 patients are undergoing treatment. Twenty-six coronavirus patients have recovered till date.
