Quader urges BNP to stay beside people shunning criticism

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Wednesday called upon BNP to stay beside people instead of criticism  to make political gains in the tough situation of coronavours outbreak.

“In the crisis moment, BNP leaders are continuously criticising the government through holding press conferences instead of standing beside the country people. Want to tell them..refrain from making political gain, face the crisis standing beside the people,” he said.

The AL leader made the call while speaking at a press briefing at his residence.

Earlier on Tuesday, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir blamed the government for failing to handle the coronavirus situation and  suggested formation of a national committee to fight coronavirus pandemic in Bangladesh.

Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister, said that apart from the government, Awami League leaders and activists also stood beside the people

Regarding the progress on the works of Padma  Bridge project, the informed that 86.75 percent works on the main bridge and 78.50 percent of overall project works have completed.
