4 houses under lockdown in Noakhali fearing coronavirus
Local administration put four houses under lockdown in Char Majid village in Subarnachar upazila of Noakhali suspecting a man a coronavirus patient, following his cold, fever and cough.
The administration marked the houses hoisting red flags.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer HM Ibnul Hasan Iven said a 38-year-old auto-rickshaw driver has been suffering from cold, fever and cough for last six days.
As he did not get well in spite of taking primary medication, he was sent to Upazila Health Complex.
Following the instruction of upazila health and family planning officer Shaila Sultana Jhumur, his blood sample was collected and sent it to Bangladesh Institute of Tropical and Infectious Diseases in Faujdarhat of Chattogram for test.
After arrival his test result within two days, it would be known if he has develop coronavirus or not, said Sahila Sultanan.
