11,325 returnees quarantined in Khulna
The number of quarantined people in Khulna district raised at 11,325 with 1,402 more foreign returnees kept under home quarantine on Thursday to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus.
However, 445 returnees have, so far, been released after completing their 14-day quarantine period.
Assistant Director of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) in Khulna division Dr. Ferdousi Akther confirmed the matter on Thursday afternoon.
Dr. Ferdousi suggested all concerned for creating awareness at the community levels to ensure cent percent home or institutional quarantine of foreign returnees for 14 days.
He requested all the people not to afraid and comply with directives given by the government to tackle outbreak of coronavirus.
The DGHS assitant director also urged them to keep aloof from public gatherings, to avoid public transport and try to maintain 'Social Distance' from one person to another.
