1,431 returnees quarantined in Khulna

1,431 returnees quarantined in Khulna

The number of quarantined people in Khulna district raised at 1,431 with 827 more foreign returnees kept under home quarantine on Tuesday to prevent the spread of  novel coronavirus.

However, 31 returnees have, so far, been released after completing their 14-day quarantine period. 

Khulna Civil Surgeon Dr. Sujat Ahmed confirmed the matter on Tuesday afternoon.

Dr Sujat suggested all concerned for creating awareness at the community levels to ensure cent percent home or institutional quarantine of foreign returnees for 14 days.

He requested all the people not to afraid and comply with directives given by the government to tackle outbreak of coronavirus.

The civil surgeon also urged them to keep aloof from public gatherings, to avoid public transport and try to maintain 'Social Distance' from one person to another.
