Marine Fisheries Academy celebrates Bangabandhu's birth centenary

Marine Fisheries Academy, Chittagong under the Ministry of Fisheries and Livestocks celebrated Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's birth centenary with due respect on Tuesday.

In celebration of the day, the Marine Fisheries Academy campus was decorated with festoons and banners containing Bangabandhu's portraits and immortal remarks.

The programs of the day began with hoisting national flag in the morning. Led by Principal Captain Masuq Hassan Ahmed, trainers, officials, employees and cadets paid their profound respect by placing wreath on the portrait of Father of the Nation. Later, they cut a cake.

Besides, a blood donation program was organised to donate blood for patient being imbued with the ideals of love and affection of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman for ordinary people. Cadets, trainers and employees took part in the blood donation program.
Sandhani, a voluntary organisation of Chittagong Medical College Unit, collected 40 bags of blood.





In celebration of the birth centenary, the final match of the Father of the Nation Memorial Football Tournament was successfully organised.
The programme ended through holding a discussion, offering a munajat seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of the Father of Nation and his family members, and continued progress and prosperity of the nation.
