3 burnt alive in city building fire

Three persons including a child were burnt alive in a fire that broke at the garage of a building in city's New Eskaton early Thursday.
Two of the deceased were identified as Abdul Quader, 40, and Rushdi, 4, son of Shahidul Islam, a resident of the building.
On information, eight firefighting units went to the spot and extinguished the fire around 5:30am.
After taking control of the blaze, the rescuers recovered three charred bodies from the building.
The reason behind the fire is yet to be known.
Critically burn injured two were admitted to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital while three others who fell sick due to smoke are also undergoing treatment at the hospital.
The bodies were kept at the DMCH morgue.
Meanwhile, a five-member probe body was formed to investigate the fire incident.
The Fire Service and Civil Defence formed the committee headed by its Deputy Director (Mymensingh Division) Abul Hossain.
Other members of the committee are: Assistant Director (Tangail) Majibur Rahman, Deputy Assistant Director (Mirpur zone) Anwar Hossain, Inspector Debobroti Mandal and Senior Station Officer of Tejgaon Fire Service and Civil Defence Foysalur Rahman.
