Body formed over IU BCL factional clash
The authorities of Islamic University (IU) in Kushtia on Monday night formed a three-member probe body to look into the Saturday's clash between two groups of BCL on the campus.
IU registrar office officials confirmed the matter on Tuesday.
Professor Rabiul Islam Onu of Bangla Department, also the provost of Sheikh Russel Hall, has been made the head of the body, said IU acting registrar SM Abdul Latif.
The other members of the committee are- Associate Professor Mahbub Bin Shahjahan of Law Department and Assistant Proctor Ariful Islam.
The probe committee has been asked to submit the report within seven working days, he added.
IU vice-chancellor Professor M Harun-Ur-Rashid Askari said that legal action would be taken against the accused after getting report from the body.
At least six activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) received injuries during a factional clash that took place on Saturday night.
