Amar Ekushey observed in Malaysia

Bangladesh High Commission in Malaysia on Friday observed ‘International Mother Language Day’ and ‘Shahid Dibash’ with due respect and in a befitting manner.

The programme started around 8:30 am (local time) at the Bangladesh Embassy in Kuala Lumpur with hoisting national flag.

A special prayer was also offered seeking salvation of the language martyrs as well as divine blessings for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of Bangladesh.

Bangladesh HC Defence Advisor Commodore Mustak Ahmed read out President Abdul Hamid’s message while Deputy High Commissioner & Head of Chancery Ms Wahida Ahmed read out Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s message before the audience.

The messages from the Foreign Minister and the State Minister for Foreign Affairs were also read out in the programme.
